Fans will have to wait a few more months to see Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in the Gangster Squad after announcements that Warner Brothers will be pushing back the movie’s release date from September 7 to January 1t to add time for re-editing and re-shooting scenes where a group of gangsters go into a movie theater and start shooting. This announcement comes five days after 12 people were killed by a gunman during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado.
The trailer for Gangster Squad, which was airing during The Dark Knight Rises, was immediately pulled from theatersbecause it featured the troubling scene.
